The collective names given to groups of animals can be as unique as the animals themselves and highlight certain traits of that group. Remember that, and when you think of a group of skunks the word stench should immediately come to mind.
Wild dog are known as a ‘pack’, and baboons are called a ‘troop’. Possibly the best collective noun of all though must be for the wildebeest – collectively known as an ‘improbability’. Most people know that when lions get together they form a pride, and that if you get enough fish in one place its called a school -- but were you aware that a group of ravens is known as an unkindness? Actually, there's a bevy of bizarre names for animal groups -- in fact, a bevy is what a multiple number of otters is called.
